Reinforced Mechanically Stabilized Earth Wall (RME Structure)
Designed and constructed a Reinforced Earth (RME) wall system for permanent landslide mitigation and debris catchment at a critical hillside slope. The structure intercepted sliding material from the upper slope while maintaining uninterrupted traffic movement on the highway below. The project delivered a durable, long-term slope stabilization solution across multiple critical slip locations along the highway corridor in Arunachal Pradesh.
The Reinforced Earth Wall solution successfully transformed unstable slip zones into safe and durable highway infrastructure, ensuring long-term slope stability and reliable road connectivity. Its modular design, efficient construction methodology and integrated drainage system make it an ideal solution for landslide-prone highways, hill roads and other challenging geotechnical environments where safety, durability and minimal maintenance are essential.
